Our Story
🐾 A Little More About Alex
Hi, I’m Alex — founder of Wine Country Walkers. My journey in pet care started with two rescues who changed my life: George, adopted from the Sonoma Humane Society, and Hank, a loyal pup we brought home from an airport rescue. Since then, caring for dogs has become more than a passion — it’s a way of life.
Outside of dog walking, I live an active lifestyle and enjoy practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I’m a college graduate and a proud former United States Peace Corps volunteer, where I had the opportunity to serve in Thailand — an experience that strengthened my commitment to service, community, and care. With years in the Santa Rosa area and a deep love for animals, I treat every dog like my own. Whether it’s a walk, a check-in, or a full-day stay, you can trust that your pet is in thoughtful, experienced hands.
